I’m Jessica Jordan, and I’m the breeder of Cherished Dachshunds in Bennett, NC. We breed long-haired dachshunds, and we bred short-haired dachshunds in the past.
I became obsessed when I got my first dachshund puppy many years ago. No other breed would do after that. These stubborn, smart dogs just stole my heart. Dachshunds become your best friend and never want to leave your side. They love you unconditionally.
All the dogs in our breeding program are family. They live in the house with me, my husband, and our children. I aim to breed healthy, happy puppies. The puppies are raised inside and handled frequently. All they know is love from the start. When teaching the dogs, we exclusively use positive, force-free training.

Health & Well-being
The health and well-being of the puppies are paramount. All puppies are vet-checked at 7 weeks, come microchipped, and with a comprehensive goody bag. The breeder conducts health tests on all adult dogs and provides transparency with test results.
Personalized Experience
New puppy owners receive frequent updates with pictures and videos, ensuring they are part of the puppy's early life. The breeder maintains a strong connection with puppy parents even after adoption, offering ongoing support and updates.
